Colleen first caught the acting bug at 4 years old in her starring turn as Sea Creature #6 in The Little Mermaid.

She hasn’t left the stage or put down the mic since.

Colleen was born and raised in the Tampa Bay area and has spent her career creating art that builds connections in her community. Her first love is the theatre. She studied musical theatre at Pinellas County Center for the Arts and holds a BA in Performing Arts from the University of Tampa after studying for a year at Marymount Manhattan College. 

Colleen is an Artistic Associate with Jobsite Theater, the resident company of the Straz Center, previously seen as the title role in LIZZIE  in the 2016 and 2023 productions, Queen of Hearts/Bandersnatch and lyricist of Jobsite’s ALICE, Betty in The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, Puppet Master in Shockheaded Peter, Street Singer in Threepenny Opera (recipient of Theatre Tampa Bay Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical), and Miggs/Lamb in Silence!

Favorite regional credits include: My Fair Lady (Asolo Rep directed by Frank Galati) It’s A Wonderful Life (American Stage); Exhibits in the Zoo (ThinkTank); Blithe Spirit (Stageworks); Grease (Show Palace); The Rocky Horror Show (Straz Center); Taming of the Shrew & Merry Wives of Windsor (Theatre Under the Stars); and touring musicals for young audiences with Stages Productions. She has performed in many workshops and staged readings of new plays locally and with MCC Theatre in New York. She is a regular performer with The Radio Theater Project at The Studio@620

Colleen is an accomplished songwriter and loves turning stories into songs. She has written lyrics for Jobsite Theater’s adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland; written music and lyrics with her acoustic indie pop bands The Sugar Bats and The Colleen & Andy Show; written jingles for local businesses and non-profits; and wrote The Muse theme song and an interactive song promoting wellness & gratitude through Murals in Mind for St. Pete Arts Alliance. She has written & recorded over 100 custom songs about people’s pets & loved ones - including the famous Brody the Weather Dog!

Colleen is one half of Best of the Bay Award winning cabaret duo Coco & Homo and producer of immersive theatrical experiences SEXxX Dreams and Much Ado. She has contributed backing vocals to live performances with Sarah Brightman, Josh Groban, Clay Aiken, and Changes - a David Bowie Tribute band. Her voice has been heard on a variety of national commercials, infomercials, and soothing children to sleep through musical projects with Hatch. She is currently writing and recording an album of songs with her  band The Sugar Bats. She is a vocalist with The Florida Bjorkestra previously featured in Life on Venus: The Florida Bjorkestra Plays Bowie and as everyone’s favorite vampire slayer in BuffyFest. She has traveled the country performing at improv festivals with her musical improv team Definitely Not Murderers and teaches musical improv workshops and classes. She is a teaching artist specializing in acting, musical theatre, devised theatre, improv, and audition preparation for both children and adults. 

She lives in St. Pete with her partner Marc and their muppet pup Ella.
